How to Set Up a VPN on Mac OS X | PPTP

How to Configure

  1. Open Network settings in System Preferences
    . Click the Apple then System Preferences
    . Click Network under Internet & Wireless
  2. Click + (the plus icon)
  3. Select VPN for the interface, PPTP for the VPN Type, and enter VPN for Service Name
  4. Select the newly created My VPN connection
  5. Enter your vpn address in the Server Address field (you get it from your VPN provider)
  6. Type your VPN Login or user name in the Account Name field
  7. Click Authentication Settings and enter your VPN Password in the Password field, then click OK
  8. Click Advanced, check Send all traffic over VPN connection, then click OK
  9. Click Apply

How to Connect

  1. Click the new VPN icon in the menu bar
  2. Click Connect VPN
